It is essential for any employer to have contracts of employment for its staff.
Certain terms must be included by law whilst others may be necessary to protect your business, for example, you may need clauses restricting your employees from unfairly competing against you when they leave.
How can we help?
We can draft all the necessary contracts to protect you as the employer and to ensure that your employee knows exactly what is expected.
Policies which may be necessary would include absences, equal opportunities, e-mails and many more.
Documents that you must have by law are Employment Contracts and Disciplinary and Grievance procedures.
Remember that if an employment tribunal makes an award in favour of any of your employees for any reason, whether it is for non-payment of bonuses, unfair dismissal, discrimination etc, if the employer has no contract of employment for that particular employee, the tribunal can award up to four weeks pay to that employee simply because there was no contract of employment.
