In claims relating to wills and estates, we work closely with our colleagues in the Private Client Department of this firm, and advise on:

• Disputing the validity of a will, for example on the grounds that the testator may not have had the requisite mental capacity at the time that the will was made

• Claims under the Inheritance Act, where the deceased did not make a will, or made a will which may not provide adequately for a family member or dependent (such claims must be filed in court within 6 months of a grant of representation of the estate being issued to the personal representative of the deceased).
