We are experienced in taking possession proceedings for landlords of residential property let on short term tenancies.
If the property is let on a valid, assured shorthold tenancy (AST) and provided the contractual tenancy and statutory six months have expired, we can obtain possession at a one-off price of £750 plus VAT. Using the Accelerated Possession Procedure, we will carry out all three steps required:
The court procedure is relatively straightforward and it is usually possible to obtain an Order for Possession without having to attend a hearing.
If possession is sought on other grounds such as damage to property or non-payment of rent, or the property is let on a tenancy other than on an assured shorthold, the procedure for obtaining possession is more complicated. We will be able to give an indication of the procedure and likely cost on request.
