Professional Standards and Accreditations
Mullis & Peake are proud they have been certified that they comply with the requirements of the Cyber Essentials scheme. This accreditation is a UK government-backed scheme overseen by the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) designed to help organisations demonstrate that they meet a standard set of IT security requirements to minimise the likelihood and impact of common cyber threats. It demonstrates to clients and contacts that the firm takes data security seriously particularly when it comes to handling sensitive client data.
We carry the LawNet mark of excellence, an internationally recognised quality mark and we have held the ISO9001 accreditation since 1994.
Lexcel
Lexcel is the Law Society’s practice management standard, and certifies solicitors have met high standards through independent assessment. Lexcel-accredited practices undergo rigorous independent assessment every year to ensure they meet required standards of excellence in areas such as client care, case management and risk management.
Conveyancing Quality Scheme (CQS)
The Conveyancing Quality Scheme (CQS) is a recognised quality standard for residential conveyancing practices. Achieving membership establishes a level of credibility for member firms with their stakeholders such as regulators, lenders, insurers as well as residential homebuyers and sellers.
Personal Injury Accreditation Scheme
The Personal Injury Accreditation Scheme covers all work undertaken by solicitors and behalf of victims as to their rights and obligations arising out of any alleged act of negligence or breach of statutory duty as a result of which the victim has sustained personal injuries or fatal injuries. The scheme covers all types of personal injury work.
Family Law Accreditation Scheme
The Family Law Accreditation Scheme covers all types of family law work, (except public law Children Act work). Members will have shown, to the satisfaction of the Law Society that they have and will maintain a high level of knowledge, skills, experience and practice in the area of family law.
LawNet
Mutual and member-owned, LawNet is an internationally recognised quality mark, with regular independent evaluation to drive continuous improvement. A good lawyer must be expert in the law, but to carry the LawNet Mark of Excellence a firm must deliver excellent legal services combined with excellent client service.
