Mullis & Peake LLP Solicitors offer two options towards qualification

In 2018, the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) announced that the Legal Practice Course (LPC) will be replaced by the Solicitors Qualifying Exams (SQE).

Mullis & Peake LLP have been monitoring the changes in the legal education system and welcome opportunities to widen access to the profession.

We are therefore offering two options towards qualification so that we may continue to offer an option to those who have completed their LPC and to those who are looking to qualify via the SQE route.

Unfortunately, due to the recent government announcement on the changes in funding for level 7apprenticeships (which will include the Solicitors Graduate Apprenticeship), we are no longer able to offer this an option.  We will keep eye to any future changes on the funding of the same.

One of our main priorities in recruiting trainees is looking to the long term, we hope that the trainee will remain with Mullis & Peake LLP once qualified and be committed to the firm. We have a high retention rate of trainees with a number now Members in the firm.

Our trainees will work in supportive teams and are supervised by either a Partner or Senior Associate. We actively encourage our trainees to get involved in marketing, networking, training and social events hosted by the firm.  The environment is an enthusiastic and friendly one and trainees have regular meetings with their supervisors.

We seek candidates with not only good academics but with personality, charisma and strong interpersonal skills.

We offer several benefits to our trainees, including:

  • Holiday, a minimum of 20 days plus bank holidays
  • Additional bonus holiday for birthday, at least three days over the Christmas period and for long service
  • Enhanced Maternity/Shared Parental Leave Pay
