Family Court Fees Are Increasing from 13th July 2026

From the 13^th July 2026, a number of court fees in England and Wales will increase.

Some of the most common applications will see the following increases:-

• Divorce or dissolution application – currently £612 increasing to £628

• Financial Remedy application (Form A) – currently £313 increasing to £321

• Child Arrangements Order, Specific Issue Order and Prohibited Steps Order applications – currently £263 increasing to £270

• General application such as Form D11 – currently £190 increasing to £195

• Applications by consent or without notice – currently £60 increasing to £62

Although the increases are relatively modest, if you are ready to proceed with your application, now will be the best time to do so prior to the increase taking place.

If you’re on a lower income or receive certain benefits you may qualify for the Help with Fees scheme which can reduce or waive the court fee altogether. The scheme remains available despite the increases.
