All the gifts go to under privileged children across Havering, Barking and Dagenham and Redbridge, meaning there is something for them to open on Christmas day and help them celebrate the festive season.
This year, Romford & Gidea Park RFC will also be supporting the Give a Child a Christmas appeal by donating all profits from their Santa Run, which is being held at Crow Lane on the Saturday 7 December.
Generous people within the community are invited to drop off gifts at the Time FM’s studio in the Liberty Shopping Centre until Friday 13 December, allowing time for distribution to local children in need before Christmas.
For those who prefer to contribute financially, donations can be made through the campaign’s GoFundMe page, managed by Romford BID at https://gofund.me/7c4de76a.
Every penny raised online will go toward purchasing toys from local businesses, many of which are providing discounts to help stretch donations even further.
The toys and gifts will be distributed through trusted local charities and organisations, including Women’s Aid, the Salvation Army, Peabody Trust, Havering Social Services, and Queens and King George’s Hospitals, ensuring they reach the children who need them most by Christmas Day.
