Get to know Martyn
Martyn joined Mullis & Peake in 1995 and has over 25 year’s litigation experience.
He is the Chairman of the firm, and deals primarily with contentious probate matters, high value and complex personal injury claims and matters alleging professional negligence. He also deals with all types of will disputes, inheritance claims, and acting for beneficiaries, executors and trustees.
Martyn studied at the University of Hull and received his Bachelor of Law degree. His Solicitors Final Examination was from the College of Law in Chester.
Martyn has also specialised in personal injury throughout his career and acts on behalf of both claimants and defendants and has particular expertise in complex high-value claims, including industrial disease. Martyn has considerable experience in alternative methods of dispute resolution, which can lead to speedier resolution at reduced costs.
Having worked for private clients for 30 years, dealing with complex financial matters, Martyn brings a degree of empathy and understanding to each case while remaining focused on achieving the best outcome for each individual.
Outside of work
Martyn is an active sportsman. Having studied martial arts for many years he now focuses on strength and conditioning training, and also has a keen interest in Bonsai and suiseki and when time permits, angling.
