Dealing with false allegations in Children Proceedings

A father of two young boys, instructed us when his ex-partner stopped him from seeing the children.  His ex-partner made a number of very serious allegations against him, that he was an abusive man; that he was involved with money laundering and dangerous people; and that he was not safe to be around their children.  We were able throughout the proceedings to disprove all of mother’s allegations without the need for a fact-finding hearing. It was accepted by the Cafcass (Children and Family Court Advisory and Support Service) officer and by the court that these were false allegations and that mother was potentially trying to alienate the children against father. The matter proceeded to a final hearing where the judge determined that father should be able to have extensive contact with the children, including alternate weekends and half the school holidays.
