Mullis & Peake
Cedric Mullis
Mullis & Peake are very sad to hear about the death of Cedric Mullis.
Cedric was the last of the family dynasty that founded the Mullis & Peake partnership. His grandfather, Fred Mullis, came to Essex and set up business in the year 1902 in North Street in Romford, above a cycle shop. In 1924, Lionel Mullis joined the firm and six years later the firm’s founder, Fred Mullis, retired after 28 years of service, leaving his only son to continue his legacy at the firm. The third generation of the family, Cedric Mullis, joined the firm, specialising in commercial property, until his retirement as senior partner in 1991.
Cedric was quoted as being a “larger than life true gentleman, who was very charming and liked by all.”
He still met up with previous partners of Mullis & Peake for lunches a couple of times a year, even though he was 94 years old last year.
We wish his family all the best at this difficult time.
