A case study on debt recovery for a company

We represented a long-standing Company client in a claim against their customer, who had substantial unpaid invoices. A claim was issued, and judgment obtained in default of a defence. The defendant company then applied to have the judgment set aside on the basis that it had a real prospect of successfully defending the claim. At a hearing before a District Judge we were successful in persuading the Judge to refuse that application, and the sum claimed was paid in full within 14 days.
