Dangers of creating Wills using AI
Using AI to create a Will could have a detrimental effect to your estate when you pass away, this could mean that your Will may be invalid.
Whilst AI Wills could create the most basic requirements for a Will, there could be a lack of understanding of your intentions, for example your Will may not include a clause to state where a beneficiaries’ share is to go after they have passed away, therefore part of your estate could be distributed in accordance with the Intestacy Rules (the law in England & Wales as to who will inherit your estate if you have not left a valid Will). This could result in your estate being passed to those you did not intend to inherit. AI platforms cannot understand complexities of relationships, give advice on personal circumstances or tax advice and so on.

“It is imperative for you to seek advice from an experienced legal professional who can take your instructions, give advice and draft a Will that is tailored to your needs to ensure that your Will is valid and for your wishes to be carried out.”
