What information do I need to start making a claim?
If you are considering bringing a personal injury claim, you will need to provide the solicitor with information at the outset to allow them to assess if you have a claim with reasonable prospects of success.
Your solicitor will need to know the date the accident occurred, how the accident occurred and what injuries you have suffered. Often, they may need to see photographs of the accident location, to allow the solicitor to understand the cause of your accident.
Once this information has been provided, your solicitor will determine if your claim is a claim which they can pursue against the Defendant on your behalf.
Holly Minney, Head of Dispute Resolution, said:
“When taking a new inquiry for a new claim, we will ask the injured person a number of questions, as we need to be able to gain an understanding of the circumstances of the accident and the injuries suffered. This information will allow us to initially assess your claim and advise you what we can offer.”
