Above and Beyond June 2022

Jessica Brill

Like all of the resi team, Jess has had a difficult past year as a result of the sheer volume of work in the department.

Jess is the first port of call for clients with enquiries (after reception) consistently provides clients with an excellent service both with the initial interactions and with any further assistance they may seek from her as the transaction progresses. She never shies away from helping as and when she can.

However, beyond this and during such a busy time in the department, she has provided invaluable support and assistance firstly to Rosinaldo and more recently to Kylie, in Shenfield,  in teaching them how to provide quotes to prospective clients and to open new files for the fee earners.

Training someone is not part of Jess’s role, but she was clearly the best person for the job as someone doing the job and she was brilliant at it.

Despite being so busy with her own work Jess maintained a positive and supportive attitude throughout and was only too willing to assist the team with the development of others.

Thank you Jess for all your hard work which has been very much appreciated.

Sophie Hector

Sophie has been a much valued and respected colleague at Mullis & Peake for 10 years. She commenced her working life with us at the Chadwell Heath office with Roger as an office junior and progressed to legal secretary and finally to completions manager.

Throughout her time with us she has been hard working, loyal and dedicated but with a sense of fun. The perfect mix for the stresses of the residential team.

How Sophie managed to maintain her sanity and positive attitude as she did through the SDLT holiday period I will never know given the hours she was working and the record number of completions she had to deal with.

With Sophie now seeking a new challenge she is moving to the accounts team and this is again testament to the amazing individual she is.

Resi’s loss is very much the Accounts department’s gain!

Sophie Williamson

To round off an excellent month of above and beyond awards the members should like to thank Sophie Williamson for going above and beyond.

Sophie works consistently hard and is an excellent commercial property lawyer who has the client at the heart of everything she does whilst maintaining the ultimate high standards of work. She is also a great team player who is only too happy to help as and where she can.

Recently she has been working particularly hard. She has been consumed with a large transaction where Denise is dealing with the corporate aspects and Sophie is dealing with the property side where the other side’s solicitors are being less than helpful! She has been working ridiculously long hours in order not to let anyone down.

Sophie also attended a networking event for the firm despite feeling unwell, so as not to let people down. She really is a super trooper!
