FRP Nuclear Race for Little Havens

Date: Thursday 27 June 2019 12:00 - 18:00
Cost: 0

Address: Nuclear Races, Kelvedon Hatch

On the 27th June, eight members of Mullis & Peake LLP Solicitors staff will be getting their gear on and taking part in the FRP Nuclear Races in aid of Little Havens Children’s Hospice.

Little Havens is a fantastic charity who offer support to children who are not expected to reach adulthood because of life-limiting or life-threatening conditions. They can offer symptom control, respite breaks and end-of-life care, making their journey as comfortable as possible. This specialist type of care is free of charge for as long as it is needed, both within the family home and at their hospice.

The Nuclear Races are held at a specialist course in Kelvedon Hatch, the obstacles are set out in permanent farmland, with lakes, fields, rivers and woods. There are a combination of both big and small obstacles to challenge courage, teamwork and physical strength. There will be plenty of challenges for the participants to face, including the Deathslide, the Grater and the Ridge of Revenge. And if that wasn’t bad enough, the entire course is covered in ‘mud, mud and more mud!’

We had a team compete last year and managed to raise £1,000, smashing our target of £240!

This year, we have four teams competing, consisting of Joanne Wood, Martyn Trenerry, Jade Oxley, Hannah White, John Oxley, Holly Minney, Colin Minney, Sophie Williamson, Shelley Fitzpatrick and Ciara Pugh.

If you wish to make a donation, you can find the team’s Just Giving page here.
